Well welcome to Poker Crush shall I call you Mr Guru lol. I been playing for about 2 years now consider myself an average player and always all ears for any pros tips or advice. I have learned to play by listening and also what I did right and wrong from hand to hand. But I am really starting to get sick of online poker with all these fish out there. It use to be you just see this more in freerolls but now they are everywhere. I have been losing to good hands to these friggin fish chasing right to the river. I guess this might explain why there were so many unknowns at the final table this year at the WSOP. Even the best of the best can't beat these fish so I am open to any suggestions. CrazyHorse

Ok Poker Guru now here is a hand that is a prime example of what I am talking about with these friggin fish playing online poker. I am dealt Slick so check this hand out and see why I am getting fed up with these fish. This guy calls all in on flop (has to be a kid) with abolutely nothing on the flop. His only hope is a 10 with this call and as you can see he gets on the river. There is no tip on this BS. CrazyHorse

I'm sorry I didn't notice this new second page until tonight or I would have answered you much sooner!

Don't worry, honey. You are NOT a fish! We ALL get lucky with the river once in a while, even those who constantly complain about the fish, instead of sharpening their fishhooks! That is one of the features of the game that makes it so interesting. There are plenty other poker games for those who don't like quite as many surprises.

One note of caution I would give you, however........I would never go all in if it counted on which card came up as the last one. In fact, I never bet on anything I MIGHT get, no matter how good a hand it would give me.

Remember, poker is not a game of luck, but of skill. If you bet on what you MIGHT get, you are depending too much on luck.

Best to bet only on what you KNOW, that is, the cards you already have.

wow great thought there RBcasino....a place to practice on site, with sitemates....thats not available , atleeast not to my knowledge, though there is some good reading in poker tips and strategies section of the forum . i have been practicing with the play money at the poker casinos online, after signing up and recieving ndr bonuses. actually thats how i started when i started playing holdem online,im still practicing just playin in freerolls. what a lesson they can be. big smiles .

let me explain that alil better, what i mean is i signed up , recieved the bonus, only i practiced at the play money tables first before using the real ndr monies at the real money tables.....

Just thought I'd stop in and say my howdies.... used to be a regular visitor at the "regular" crush forum...

but hate to admit it, haven't been able to travel about so much since becoming a mod.... and a 56k dialup modem doesn't help space travel either!

Been wanting to venture into this wide world of poker for some time, and have only recently started participating in tourneys.

Love your advice... and value honesty.

All you need to do is click on the banner code button (it the red button above your text when posting/replying) when you are creating your post. This will take you to the database and you can generate the banner you want there.

Then all you need to do is cut/paste it and add it to your post.. Smile

OK, I THINK this is how you do that. Just click on Profile up top to go to your own profile. Then click on Signatures.
Oops, first, I guess you need to have already copied the banner ads that you're going to add to your signature.
So pick out some banner ads and copy them first, THEN go to your signature in your profile, and paste them into the signature box. You'll see the directions for adding signatures there, so you'll know what to do there if you don't already.

Then just submit your new signature and that'll make every post you make show up with those ads at the bottom of it!

(Hopefully!)

Taking me a while to get around as much as I'd like to because I've been PLAGUED by computer problems lately. Running a scan at this very moment to see if I've picked up any of those nasty lil bugs in all my cyterspace travels...

Then I've got to figure out how to get my Flash player working... AGAiN ... it's been a REAL PAIN lately. The only thing is...things can only get better... cause everything's gone so terrible lately.

I just happened to see your post about it and would like to try to help. I had the same problem once so I can only tell you what I did that made it perfect and hope the same thing works for you.

I went to www.macromedia.com where it offers a place to download free the latest version of Flash and then helps you in a very simple way check to make sure it is working properly. I was delighted with the results. If still in need, I hope you will be as well.

Our PokerGuru (and we all love him for it) runs a mighty tight ship over here. He doesn't hesitate for a second to boot someone's azz out -- but ONLY if they try to take advantage of us members or forget who is in charge.

Last week he made a clean sweep and booted out a dozen or so at one time for trying to pressure us in the wrong direction. (pushing pills)

Just thought I would let you know how straightforward he is and that he pulls no punches. I think that you will grow to respect him as much as we all do. (I say that because I haven't seen a post of you greeting our REAL guru, altho he has given you a rather SPECIAL welcoming post!)

DB I have been really trying hard with that word PATIENCE lol it has really helped with my poker star tourneys. it was i was placing 2 or 3 thousand out of 10.000 and now i am getting under 100 if I tell myself patience over and over.

Welcome Slotsmom and besides posting I would say the lottery up above is the biggest maker of pc points.when you go there you will see a 1 and if you backspace you can put a 20 in it.It has built my pcs WAY up there. Charla
